James H. Cain Jr.,87, of Cambridge, passed away Thursday at the Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born January 5, 1925 in Dawson Springs, Kentucky and was the son of the late J. Homer Cain Sr. and Arvella H. Cain.
Mr. Cain retired from Ohio Bridge Company after 26 years of service. He had formerly worked for Muskingum Mining.
He was a graduate of Adena High School and attended Bethany College. He was a member of the United Mine Workers, Ohio Operating Engineers and the First Christian Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Donna M. (Sells) Cain whom he married July 4, 1948 and passed away October 24, 2005.
He is survived by one son James H. (Kathy) Cain of Buffalo; one daughter Kathleen M. (Bill) Bogart of Cambridge; one grandson Wm. Brad Bogart of Cambridge; one granddaughter Elizabeth M. (James) Hunter of New Concord; great grandson Wm. Jason Bogart and twin great grandson and great granddaughter, Mason and Ava Hunter; two step-grandsons, James (Cindy) Ayers of Byesville and Scott Ayers of Buffalo; six step great grandchildren, Karson, Amber, Aaron, Alyssia, Dustin and Cloe Ayers.

Calling hours will be Monday April 30,2012 from 12:00 to 2:00 at Black-Epperson funeral home in Byes. followed by a graveside service in Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Deb Bolen officiating.
