Jerry Dean Sills Sr., 65, of Pleasant City passed away Tuesday (March 27, 2018) at Astoria Place.
He was born October 24, 1952 in Cambridge and was the son of Shirley (Turner) Brown of Byesville and the late Bernard Sills.
Jerry was a graduate of Meadowbrook High School. He graduated from OUZ with an Associate’s degree in Emergency Medical Training. He was an EMT for many years and most recently employed at Zandex. Corp. Jerry was a history buff, and enjoyed participating in Civil War re-enactments, and was a collector of the Civil War, GAR and WWII memorabilia. Jerry was a bass player for the former Myrna Valentine and the Country Hearts band.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his step-father Bill Brown.
In addition to his mother he is survived by two sons, Jerry Sills Jr. of Pleasant City and William (Kelly) Sills of Byesville; two daughters, Angela Sills of Cambridge and Mary Beth Sills of Buffalo; two brothers, Richard (Mary) Sills of Byesville and Bob Sills of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Morgan, Alexis, Austin and Carson; several nieces and nephews.
