Ellen Kochur Obituary

Ellen Laverne Kochur, 78, of Byesville, passed away Sunday (February 11, 2024) at Grant Medical Center, Columbus.

She was born May 5, 1945 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Clyde Harbin and Leona (Walker) Harbin.

Ellen had worked for several years at Westinghouse and Hamilton Beach.

She enjoyed playing bingo and instant lottery tickets.

Ellen formerly attended the Beckett United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Peters.

Ellen is survived by her husband, David Kochur, whom she married October 26, 1973; two daughters, Tina née Kochur (& Marcus) Peters of Byesville and Tammy (& Rodney) Stevens of Pleasant City; two grandchildren, Christina (& Tommy) Ditto and Kacie Stevens; and her two cats, Patches and Joey.

No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held at this time.
