Anne Elizabeth (Young) Kerr, 75, of Old Washington passed away Saturday (June 8, 2019) at SEORMC.
She was born September 28, 1943 in Fairborn and was the daughter of the late Gilbert Young and Mary Jo (Fager) Eldridge.
Anne was a retired registered nurse. She received her nursing degree from Capital University, and her Master’s degree in counseling from Liberty University. She was previously employed with Grant Hospital, Children’s Hospital and Area Agency on Aging. She was a member of Assembly of God where she was a secretary and counselor, and a mentor to many. She was also a Navy veteran.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son Timothy; son Matthew E. Breece; and a sister-in-law Nancy Young.
She is survived by her husband Gary Kerr whom she married November 3, 1981; two sons, Mark Breece of Kimbolton and John Kerr of Cambridge; one brother Robert Young of PA; two sisters, Janie (Jim) Payne of GA and Margie (Paul) Keller of North Carolina; six grandchildren, Tyler, Nathan, London, Ian, Liam and Gia; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Assembly of God Church with services will follow with Pastor Joe Summers officiating. Burial will follow in Old Washington Cemetery.
