Dakota Michael "Cody" Hyde

Dakota Michael “Cody” Hyde, 24, of Columbus passed away Wednesday (February 20, 2019) at his home.

He was born March 23, 1994 in Cambridge and was the son of Rick and Leisa (Voytko) Hyde of Byesville.

He was a 2012 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, and was currently a student at Ohio University. He recently returned from Japan where he completed a study abroad program.  He enjoyed climbing, hiking and spending time with his friends and his German Shepherd Cooper.

Preceding him in death were grandparents, Paul Voytko Sr., Melody Bennett, and Richard D. Hyde.

In addition to his parents he is survived by grandparents, Carlene Voytko of Byesville, Jane Hyde of PA; two uncles, Paul (Wendy) Voytko of Cambridge and Joseph (Wendy Browning) of Senecaville; one aunt Cindy (Shawn) Arnett of NY.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville with private family services to follow with Mr. Mark Hughes officiating.
