Dennis L. Cain, 72, of Byesville, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born October 14, 1946, in Akron, Ohio, the son of the late Abraham and Margaret (Saltgiver) Cain. Dennis retired from Buckeye Security, where he worked as a Lieutenant Guard at Colgate Palmolive. He served in the U. S. Army during Viet-Nam and was a long time member of Byesville VFW #3760. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping (state nuisance trapper), and music, which he played and sang. Most recently, he was the bass player in The Country Blues Boys.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Cain. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda C.(Casey) Cain, whom he married November 22, a son, Roger (Tonya) Poland, New Concord, three daughters, Laurie Cain, Akron, Teresa Cain, and Gloria (Jay) Conrad, both of Pleasant City, five grandchildren, Charles “Skeet” Pyles, Chavis Pyles, Nathan Cain, and Derek and Devon Poland, and one great-grandson, Bracyn Dimitro.
