Donald W. Berg, 70, of Byesville passed away Monday (June 24, 2019) at his home.
He was born July 20, 1948 in Cambridge and was the son of the late Wilber H. Berg and Betty (Brister) Ogle.
Mr. Berg retired as a truck driver and mechanic. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam, a life member of Cambridge VFW #2901, enjoyed NASCAR, having coffee with friends, family reunions, working on cars, softball and motorcycles.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Roger Berg and first wife Debra.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years Lisa (Whiteley) Berg whom he married December 16, 2002; one son Donald W. (Justine) Berg of Senecaville; three daughters, Stephanie (Dan Yates)Berg, Angela Garrison, Heather (Bobby) Britton, all of Cambridge; step-children, Michael (Misty) Shaffer and Angela “Lela” White, both of Cambridge and Ginny Bush of Alabama; one brother Terry (Lisa Eagleson) Berg of Michigan; one sister Shirley (Herb Kenworthy) Harper of Cambridge; eighteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Evangelist Mark Beros officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors provided by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
