Donald Adair Parvin, 89, of Xenia, formerly of Byesville, passed away
Monday (November 16, 2015) at Hospitality East Nursing Home in Xenia.
Donald was born November 12, 1926 in McConnellsburg, PA and was the son of the late Robert Adair and Marian (Stewart) Parvin.
Rev. Parvin was a minister for 45 years including 9 years as a professor at Cedarville College. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Seaman First Class. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Kings College in 1952, and a Master of Divinity from Faith Seminary in 1956. He was also a board member of A.B.W.E. for thirty years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Irene (Weiss) Parvin whom he married August 30, 1952 and passed away June 13, 2007; an infant grandson Benjamin Scott Parvin.
He is survived by one son Donald Parvin of Cedarville; one daughter Susan McCoy of Beavercreek; five grandchildren, Danielle Woest, Jillian Mohler, Tyler McCoy, Jenna Voelker, and Jessica McCoy; six great grandchildren, Hannah and Braedon Woest, Charlotte Mohler, Alister, Ellory and Finley McCoy.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday (November 21, 2015) at Calvary Baptist Church, Byesville, followed by a private graveside service at Northwood Cemetery.
