Edith A. “Aldine” Coulter, 95, of Byesville passed away Monday (November 11, 2019) at SEORMC.
She was born September 15, 1924 in Derwent and was the daughter of the late Joe and Mildred (Mason) Scott.
Aldine was a 1942 graduate of Buffalo High School. She worked at RCA, NCR, Byesville IGA, and most recently served as the Breakfast Bar Ambassador for the Comfort Inn. She was a member of Main Ave. United Methodist Church, life member of M.O.P.H. Aux., life member of DAV Aux., Life member of VFW #2901 Aux., Eagles Aux., Democrat Club, and Guernsey County Senior Center.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Duane E. “Buck” Coulter whom she married February 3, 1946 and passed away January 30, 2000; two brothers, Joe and Herb Scott.
She is survived by one son Jerry (Jeanette) Coulter of Irmo, SC; one daughter Susan (Ed) Howell of Charlottsville, VA; four granddaughters, Tammy Coulter Bundrick, Jennifer Coulter , Jessica Howell Wilson and Lynn Pugh Derrick; four grandsons, Jeremy Coulter, Robert Howell, Ryan Howell, and Randy Pugh; great grandchildren, Tanner, Austin, Dylan, Madelyn, Courtney, Helen, David, Coty, Mallory, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Jayme, Amanda, Kellyn, Jase, Joey, Erin, Ava, Alexander; great great grandchildren, Greyson, Hunter, Canon, Tailor, Spencer, Alex, Randall; special cousin Shirley Treherne; brother-in-law Maurice Coulter; many special nieces and nephews, friends, Comfort Inn and VFW families.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday with Woody Biggs officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
