Elias Spencer Obituary

Elias J. Spencer, 85, of Coshocton passed away Monday (April 9, 2018) at Coshocton Springs Nursing Home.

He was born November 11, 1932 in New Madison and was the son of the late Shirell Oscar and Floy (Emrick) Spencer.

Mr. Spencer was a carpenter in and around Oxford. He was also an Evangelist most of his adult life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

In addition to his parents Elias was preceded in death by a brother Charles and a sister Ellen.

He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 28 years Mary Ellen (Mercer) Dyer Spencer; four sons, David, Daniel, Dennis and Dale; two daughters, Judy and Debra; step-children, Darlene, John, Reta, Rodney, Paul and Philip.

Mother of his children, Hazel (Smith) Spencer; many extended family members and friends.

A graveside services will be Saturday April 14th at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
