Emma Jean Schlosser, 81, of Byesville passed away Tuesday (May 15, 2018) at her home.
She was born June 8, 1936 in Monroe County and was the daughter of the late Mancel and Olive ( Hayes ) Pierce.
Mrs. Schlosser formerly worked at March Electric and later retired from Arrow Plastics. She was an Ohio State University fan, enjoyed going to Wheeling Island, and was a graduate from Calais High School.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Charlie” Schlosser whom she married July 29, 1961 and passed away September 3, 2002; two sons, Chuck and Scott; siblings, Malva (Joe) Carpenter, Connie Pierce, Laurie (Charlie) Stephens, John (Cheryl) Pierce, Burl Pierce; sister in law Naoma Pierce.
She is survived by one son Brent (Paula) Schlosser of Cambridge; one daughter Janet Wells (Mark Masters) of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Chaz, Libby, Zach and Logan; one great grandchild; siblings, Roy Pierce, Joe (Vicki) Pierce, Bob (Peggy) Pierce, and Ocie (Joe) McFrederick; special friends, Linda, Gerry, and Janet.
Calling hours will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Stinson. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
