Floyd Arthurs Obituary

Floyd C. Arthurs Jr., 80, of Byesville passed away Sunday (September 23, 2018) at Astoria Place.

He was born May 31, 1938 in Guernsey County and was the son of the late Floyd and Jennie (Merling) Arthurs Sr.

Mr. Arthurs was a coal miner for 20 years and previously worked for Western Union as a lineman. He was a graduate of Byesville High School, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son-in-law Bret Nicodemas.

He is survived by one son, Floyd (Viva) Arthurs III of Thornville; and one daughter, Nancy Nicodemus of Pataskala; five grandchildren, Eric, Kaitlin, Kristen, Sean and Matt; six great grandchildren, Devon, Dillon, Christopher, Grant, Grayson and Bailey; one aunt Edna LePage.

No calling hours will be observed. Burial will take place at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery.
