Herbert Hall, 80, of Cambridge, went to with our Lord Friday (September 7, 2018) at Astoria Place in Cambridge.
He was born June 12, 1938 in Zanesville, son of the late Donald Raymond and Mabel (Kirkbride) Hall.
He was employed at K-Mart as a sales clerk, and worked in the banking industry in Zanesville for several years. He served our country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Pleasant City Lutheran Church, Moose Lodge, Eagles & the Guernsey County Senior Center. He enjoyed being Santa Claus during the Christmas season.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Hall and one sister Marilyn R. Hall-Dailey.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Martha (Kirkbride) Hall; one son, Zachary A (Jeannette) Hall of WV; one daughter, Maridee J. Hall of Zanesville; one step son, Gerry D. (Jillyn) Sanders of Colorado; two step daughters, Bridget A. (Ralph) Dix of Cambridge and Deana K. (Jeffery) Haney of Senecaville; eight grandchildren, River, Aurora, Ashley, Christine, Stephanie, Mackenzie, Gwendolyn and Brandon; seven great grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Guernsey Memory Gardens with Pastor Jim Garrett officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
