Juanita Faye Sayre, 85, Senecaville, passed away Saturday August 18, 2018 at the Morrison House, surrounded by family.
She was born February 28, 1933 in Byesville, a daughter to the late Luke and Clarissa (Stewart) High.
Juanita retired from the Red Carpet Health Care Center (Astoria Place) after several years of service. She had also worked several years at the former Cambridge State Hospital. She was a 1950 graduate of Byesville High School, and Protestant by faith.
Juanita was a 4H advisor for over 20 years, she was also involved in the MYF (Methodist Youth Fellowship) for several years. She loved to sew, especially her quilts, loved her hummingbirds, gardening, and her time spent with grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Franklin Sayre, whom she married on June 2, 1951, and passed away on January 5, 2013, two brothers, Elmer High, and Rev. Bill High. Juanita is survived by one son, David (Carolyn) Sayre, Senecaville, two daughters, LaRose (Arthur) Nichols, Pleasant City, and Melody Tolle, Columbus, two brothers, Ron (Jean) High, Cambridge, and Curtis (Carolyn) High, Beavercreek, two sisters, Zora Conroy, Byesville, and Gloria Grace, Marion, nine grandchildren, Dwayne (Rita) Sayre, Lydia (Andy) Howald, Rachael (Tom) Perkins, Nathan Nichols, Kevin Nichols, Benjamin (Cessna) Nichols, Eric Nichols, Laura Nichols, and Andrew Nichols, twelve great-grandchildren, Dakota, Karlie, and Marianna Sayre, Jessie and Luke Howald, Ally, Kenzie, and Pierce Perkins, Samuel, Emma, CarrieAnn, and Mathias Nichols, and several nieces, and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, and Tuesday one hour prior to services at the Black-Epperson Funeral Home in Senecaville, where services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am, with Pastor Wes Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Ephraim Cemetery.
