Karen M (VanWest) Hardy

Karen M. (VanWest) Hardy, 64, of Derwent passed away Thursday (August 22, 2019) at Genesis Healthcare.

She was born September 24, 1954 in Columbus and was the daughter of the late Clarence C. and Lucille N. (Damron) VanWest.

Karen was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, and loved the outdoors. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Bonnie Watson.

She is survived by her husband Richard Hardy whom she married March 21, 2000; two sons, William (Jessica) Casterline of Iowa and Andy (Kristina Doyle) Dennis of Derwent; one brother James (Shelba) VanWest of Zanesville; three sisters, Gloria Woods of Byesville, Phyllis Schoop and Hettie Byers both of Zanesville; several nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville.
