Larry Richard Brown

Larry Brown, 77, of Derwent, passed away on Friday August 2, 2019 at his home. He was born August 7, 1941 in Asheville, North Carolina a son to the late Charles H. and Adabelle (Huff) Brown, in addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Charles Brown, a brother Wayne Brown, and a great grandson William Gadd.

Mr. Brown retired from Grief Brothers in Caldwell as a foreman after 25 years of service, he was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Vietnam. Larry was a devoted family man and especially loved to dote over his grandkids and great grandkids.

Survivors include his wife Terral (Shearer) Brown whom he married Nov. 21, 1992; a son Brian Gibbons of Cumberland; a daughter Angie Gibbons Grodell of Zanesville; a sister Phyllis Collins and a brother David Brown both of North Carolina; grandchildren Nathan Bright, Jeremie Brown, Ryan (Kelsie) Brown, Carson Gibbons, Randa Grodell, Jhett Gibbons, Nicole Serrano, and Hailie, Kordell, and Kendell West; two great grandchildren Isabelle Bright and Adalyn Thomas.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm at Black-Epperson funeral home in Byesville, with military honors to follow.
