Marlene Wagner Obituary

Marlene Dorothy (Holeton) Wagner, age 77 of Byesville passed away at her home on June 19, 2019. She was born in Antigo, Wisconsin on Sept. 20, 1941 a daughter to the late Howard and Bernice Holeton. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Wagner, and two brothers Allen and Randy.

Marlene owned and operated Marlene’s Restaurant and Bar for 34 years, she loved cooking for people and enjoyed a cold beer with many of her customers from time to time. She enjoyed gardening, gambling, and spending free time with her family, Marlene was an auxillary  member of VFW Post 8040, and the Cambridge Eagles Aerie #386.

Survivors include her children, Mark (Kim) Ingram, Scott (Linda) Ingram, Robyn Tolliver, and Lance (Michelle) Ingram all of Byesville, two step children Lynn (Mike) McConahay of Tennessee and Jeannie Wagner of Cambridge, eight grandchildren Kristina, Justin, Valene, Anthony, Coty, Cheyenne, Lacy, and Zyler, two sisters Sharon Larsen of Wisconsin, and Sandy (Mike) Senter of Michigan, sisters in law Carolyn McClelland of Byesville, Sandy Smith of Columbus, Mary Beth (Page) Hammel of Cambridge and Peggy (Dave) Saft of Senecaville, a brother in law Dick(Pam) Edwards of Cambridge.

Marlene’s family would like to thank the staff of Hospice, and a special thank you to Ginny Potts for all her help and caring.

Calling hours will be held on Friday June 21st from 11:00 to 1:00 at Black-Epperson funeral home in Byesville, with funeral services to follow at 1:00,  Pastor Nancy Parsons will officiate, burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
