Michael Joseph Monosky, 78, of Columbus, formerly of Byesville and Cambridge, passed away Thursday (August 15, 2019) at his home in Wellington Village.
He was born June 19, 1941 in Cambridge and was the son of the late Michael J. and Anna K (Kovar) Monosky.
Mike retired from N.C.R. after 25 years of service. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, and a 1959 graduate of St. Benedict High School. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam. In his younger years Mike enjoyed playing basketball and golf. He later became interested in genealogy, collecting coins, and building model airplanes.
He is survived by one son Michael (Samantha Kaye) Joseph Jr. of Oldsmar, FL; one daughter Patricia Monosky of Hillard; one brother John (Patricia) Monosky of Mt. Dora, FL; one sister Margaret (Dave)Hull of Senecaville; four grandchildren, Michael Joseph, Jordan Joseph, Lenah Kaye, and Josephine Ann.
Calling hours will be Monday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville. Mass of Christian burial will be 12:00 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cambridge. Military services will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
