Phylis A. (Rossiter) Harper, 78, of Byesville passed away Thursday (September 6, 2018) at the Beckett House.
She was born July 15, 1940 in Cambridge, and was the daughter of the late Mansel and Bertha (Sills) Rossiter.
Phylis was a homemaker, and previously worked at the former Cambridge State Hospital. She was a 1958 graduate of Byesville High School, and a member of Church of Christ in Christian Union, Derwent. She loved reading, crocheting, traveling, baking nut rolls and buckeyes.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Curtis D. Harper whom she married December 25, 1974 and passed away February 8, 2017; and a son-in-law, Rusty Watson.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas Mackey of Byesville and Tony Mackey of Barnesville; three daughters, Alice (David) Moseley of Byesville, Tracy (Robert Dingus)Watson of Cambridge and Melissa (William) McGlumphy of Punxsutawney, PA; three step-daughters, Lois Garner and Charlotte Harper both of Parkersburg, and Karen (Doug) King of Indiana, PA.; thirteen grandchildren, Staci, Travis, Erica, Tiffani, Missy, Adam, Tyler, Chris, Matthew, Jason, Debra, Josh and Katie; several great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday (September 7th) at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Joe Summers and Pastor David Glass officiating.
