Richard Stevens Obituary

Richard B. Stevens, 93, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday August 3, 2019 at the Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born in Byesville on December 31, 1925 a son to the late John and Ollie (Johnson) Stevens, in addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Delores (Robbins) Stevens whom he married January 7, 1966 and passed away in February of this year, one son Thomas, one daughter Kathryn Truman, three brothers Dennis, Fred, and Raymond, and two sisters Edna Nicholson and Lola Bartholow.

Dick attended Byesville high school and later enlisted into the Army Air Corps serving during WW II.  He retired from NCR in 1988 as an electrician, and was a life member of the Cambridge VFW Post 2901.

Survivors include one son Russell (Teri) Stevens of Orange Park, FL.; two daughters Helen (George) Brown of FL., and Marcy (Don) McIntyre of Cumberland; 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday August 7th from 4-6 pm at Black-Epperson funeral home in Byesville, with funeral services to begin at 6:00, Pastor David Wylie to officiate. Guernsey County Veterans Council will provide military rites following services.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Morrison House.
