Robert D. Kozub, 83, of Walhonding, passed away Wednesday (September 5, 2018) at the Cambridge Care & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born May 13, 1935 in Walhonding, and was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Longinie) Kozub.
Mr. Kozub retired as Plant Manager from Wagner Awning Company, Cleveland after many years of service. He was a member of Christ Our Light Parish, a graduate of St. Bonifice High School, Cleveland, and was in the U.S. Army Reserve. He enjoyed bow hunting, especially deer, he was a self taught carpenter, who enjoyed remodeling his home.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Kozub; one brother Louis Kozub; and one nephew Robert L. Kozub.
He is survived by his niece Julie A. Mitchell, and her daughter Maggie M. Mitchell both of Senecaville; two nephews, Joe Kozub of Cambridge and Tom Kozub of Cleveland; two additional nieces, Mary Ellen Gaertner of Utah, and Karen Luka of Marysville; three great nephews, Levi Kozub, currently serving in the USMC, Steven Kozub, currently serving in the USAF, and Jesse Kozub of Norway; two great nieces, Lexi Kozub of Kentucky and Kaila Kozub of Florida.
Calling hours will be Tuesday (September 11th) from 6-8 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:45 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville. Additional calling hours will be Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Christ Our Light Parish with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Robert Borer and Fr. Paul Hrezo officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cambridge.
