Roseann Shampel Obituary
Roseann Marie Shampel, 57, of Byesville passed away Wednesday (March 21, 2018) at Astoria Place.
She was born February 18, 1961 in Cambridge and was the daughter of the late Charles William and Barbara L. (Grubbs) Shampel.
Roseann was employed as a seamstress in Cleveland for many years. She also worked at several local restaurants. She was a 1979 graduate of Kent Roosevelt H.S. and attended Kent State University. She loved to sew and cook.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her fiancé John Hayes, a stillborn brother Thomas W. Shampel, and a nephew David Lee Wilson.
She is survived by two sisters, Karen (Ernie) McElroy of Senecaville and Cynthia (Dale) Jones of The Plains; two nieces, Teresa Grywalsky and Vanessa McElroy; one nephew Ernie McElroy; one great nephew, Matthias; one great niece Scarlett; two aunts, Della (Frank) Varacalli, Reynoldsburg and Jamie Ball of Cambridge; close friend Terry Moore.
No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday (March 26, 2018) at Greenwood Cemetery with Evangelist Mark Beros officiating, with burial to follow services.
