Sharon M. Lashley, 80 of Buffalo, passed away Saturday June 29, 2019 at Genesis HealthCare System.
She was born June 30, 1938 in Quaker City, a daughter to the late Maywood Patrick Butler and Elsie L. Sharrock Lashley.
Sharon retired from the former Cambridge State Hospital after 33 years of dedication and service. She was a 1955 graduate of Quaker City High School, and a long-time member of the Buffalo VFW #8040 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved bingo, cooking, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George M. Lashley, whom she married October 27, 1956, and passed away September 7, 2005, her grandparents, Estella and Opie Sharrock, who raised her, twin daughters, Mindy Lashley Stone, and Cindy Lashley Gerrity,
Sharon is survived by a son, Philip (Deb) Lashley, Pleasant City, two daughters, Shelila (Tom) Knox, and Maria (Larry) Wilson, both of Byesville, sister-in-law, Norma Fisher, Dayton, two step-sisters, Lenora LaFever, Quaker City, and Verneda Wilson, Claysville, special 1st cousin, Zelda Patterson, Cambridge, grandchildren, Hope (Eric) Snead, Dawn (Steve) Linch, Rexann Tignor, Heather Lashley, Stephanie (Joe) Womack, Travis (Billy) Wilson, Jason (Carrie) Hall, Andy Hall, Tressa (John) Miller, Jen Knox, Heather Stacy, and Kimberly Knox, several great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and twin great-great grandchildren on the way.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Black-Epperson Funeral Home in Senecaville, where services will be held Monday at 11:00 am with Pastor Nate Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
