Obituary

Alfred Craig Bates, 73, of Senecaville, passed away Saturday (March 4, 2023) at Astoria Place, Cambridge.

He was born July 4, 1949 in Noble County, son of the late William H. Bates and Opal C. (Davis) Bates.

A 1967 graduate of Shenandoah High School, Alfred retired in 2011 as a truck driver.  He was a member of the Teamsters Local 348.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting & fishing.  He was an original member of the Guernsey County Sportsmen Club for Conservation.

He is survived by his wife of over fifty-one years, Lucille “Lynn” (Campbell) Bates; two sons, Craig (Laura) Bates and Matthew (Tonya) Bates; two daughters, Kellie Marie (Michael) Price and Carrie Joline (Rob) Young; and a stepson, William (Colleen) Norman.

No calling hours will be observed.  No funeral services will be held at this time.
