Alten Tommy Wade Bates, 5 months old, passed away Wednesday (March 31, 2021) at SEORMC.

He was born October 30, 2020 in Columbus, son of Jordan Maree Bates.

Alten loved to blow raspberries, to be talked to, smiled all the time, and recently tried to sing to Cocomelon.

Preceded in death were great great grandparents, Tommy Evans, Kenny and Dorothy Bates.

Alten is survived by his mother, Jordan Maree Bates of Byesville; grandparents, Jennifer (Rick Lambert) Bates of Byesville; great grandparents, Cheri Evans of Byesville and Allen (Dea) Bates of Burlington, IA; great great grandmother, Gerry Evans of Byesville; aunts, Julie Griffith and Stacy (Charlie) Bright both of Byesville, Jodi (Brian) Starr of Salesville; great uncle Scot Evans of Columbus; cousins, Samantha, Tye, Jett, Kage and Jake.

Private family services will be held for the family.
