Anita Humphrey Obituary

Anita E. (Lagneaux) Humphrey, 89, of Byesville, passed away Wednesday (November 13, 2019) at her home.

She was born February 9, 1930 in Cambridge and was the daughter of the late Maurice E. and Mamie (Masquelier) Lagneaux.

Anita was a 1948 graduate of Cambridge High School. She retired from Champion Spark Plug and had previously worked at RCA.  She was a member of Bible Baptist Church, a former Sunday school teacher, and previously sang in the choir.  She was also a former member of Golden 60’s.

In addition to her parents Anita was preceded in death by her husband Donald D. Humphrey whom she married April 14, 1950 and passed away November 19, 2012; a son Donald Humphrey; a sister Elizabeth Yarnell, and one brother Merle Lagneaux.

She is survived by one son Michael (Kimberly) Humphrey of Byesville; three daughters, Cheryl (and the late Dennis) Stillion , Natalie “Nonnie” (Dan) Luskevich, and Melanie (David) Treherne all of Byesville; grandchildren, Melissa (Brent) Cork, Stephanie Stillion, Dennis “DJ” (Denise Yerian) Stillion Jr., Kimberly  (Ron Wolfe) Stillion, Brett (Katie) Treherne, Erin Treherne-Todd, Zachery (Cassie) Humphrey, Zane (Katie) Humphrey, and Hannah (Deric Matesic)Humphrey; great grandchildren, Devon (Tabatha) Cork,  Justin Cork, Jazmine (Ike Lindsey) Stillion, Tyson (Jenna Johnson) Stillion, and Jarrett Stillion,  Chaelyn Phillips, Baylee Yerian, Kamdon Morrison,  Paige and Greyson Treherne,  Jerome and Carson Todd , Oliver, Piper, Cade and Colt Humphrey, Ayden & Peyton Franz, Justin Sweat Jr., Meeka and Aydan Sweat, and baby Wolfe in June 2020; great great grandchildren, McCoy Cork, Kyrah and Nora Lindsey; daughter in law Tracey Humphrey of Zanesville; sister-in-law Carol Humphrey of Byesville; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Monday (November 18th) from 4-8 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
