Audrey (Mann) Burns

Audrey (Mann) Burns, 94, of Cambridge, formerly of Senecaville, passed away Wednesday March 24, 2021 at the Beckett House in New Concord.

She was born April 2, 1926 in Jerusalem, Ohio, daughter of the late Raymond Mann and Freda (Schneider) Wharton.

Audrey worked for Dr. Nicholson for 25 years.  She was a member of Church of Christ 10th and Clairmont, a graduate of Somerton High School; she enjoyed painting, traveling and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, George Earl Nicholson in 1978; second husband, Irvin Burns in 2014; daughter, Patricia Hickenbottom; granddaughter Lisa Dawn Phillips; three brothers, Francis, Roger and Wilfred Mann.

She is survived by a son-in-law, Jim Hickenbottom of Cambridge; a niece, Sondra Lallathin of Burlington,Iowa; a grandson, Jeff (Amy) Hickenbottom; great grandchildren, Kayla Stewart, James (Elisha) Hickenbottom, Jace Hickenbottom, Matt, Kelsey and Jason Phillips, ; great great grandchild, Braxton; great nephew, and niece who she considered her grandchildren,  Tom Lallathin and Tammy Mcilhenney, and her children, Josh, Jake, and Jacelyn.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Evangelist John Keith officiating.  Burial will follow in Somerton Southern Cemetery.
