Betty Lou (Lowry) Sutton, 82, of Lore City, died Saturday (July 30, 2022).
She was born October 7, 1939 at her home in Old Washington, daughter of the late Brady Dailey and Eva (Spargrove) Dailey.
A 1958 graduate of Old Washington High School, she worked as a cook for Buckeye Trail High School for many years. She also sold newspaper subscriptions.
She enjoyed playing Yahtzee and visiting casinos. For several years, she lived in Florida with her sister, Jose, and helped to work a concession trailer with her.
Betty was a member of the Kipling VFW Post 7371 and the Cambridge VFW Post 2901. She had served as the auxiliary president and as a district level officer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred A. Lowry, who died in 1982; her second husband, Ronald L. Sutton, who died in 1994; and her siblings, Donald Dailey, James Dailey, Frank Dailey, John Dailey, Tom Dailey, Dorothy Carpenter, Hazel Markle, and infant brother, Danny.
She is survived by three sons, Bobby (Vicki) Lowry of Barnesville, Kevin (Lori) Lowry of Lore City, and Terry Lowry of Lore City; two sisters, Jose and Sandra both of Florida; five grandchildren, Rebecca, Jenny, Nicholas, Kirstin, and Sydney; four great-grandchildren, Zoe, Mia, Ivy, Arya, and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held at this time.
