Obituary
Beverly J. Grimes, 83, of Senecaville, passed away Thursday (March 30, 2023) at her home.
She was born April 21, 1939 in Pleasant City, daughter of the late Robert Phillips and Virginia (Milton) Phillips.
A graduate of Byesville High School, Beverly had worked at Champion Spark Plug for thirty years. She also worked at Robins Ridge Golf Course for fifteen years, a job that she truly loved going to.
Beverly enjoyed gambling, especially her trips to Wheeling. She also loved reading and traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Myrna Valentine.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Gary E. Grimes; two sons, Charles J. (Carla) Grimes of Senecaville and Gary Allen (Sherry) Grimes of Cambridge; a daughter, Susan René (Rusty) Hensel of Dover; a sister, Connie Holder of Warsaw; a half-brother, Mickey (MaryAnn) Phillips of Stow; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Pat Goggin and Hospice of Guernsey for their care they provided to Beverly during her illness.
No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held at this time.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville, at a later date.
