Brenda Kay Edwards Wimer, 63, of Cambridge, formerly of Byesville, passed away Friday (September 3, 2021) at SEORMC.
She was born October 28, 1957 in Cambridge, the daughter of the late Charles and Martha Bishard Edwards.
Brenda worked as an LPN for 30 years, having worked at Emerald Point, Interim Health Care, and Cambridge Health and Rehab for 20 years. She was a 1976 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, and a 1988 Nursing School graduate.
Brenda cherished The Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle Church/Anchor families. She was a volunteer custodian at both Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle and The Anchor Church of Cambridge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Wimer, whom she married on 2/22/80, and passed away 1/1/2004.
She is survived by a son, Jason (Elizabeth) Wimer, Jasksonville, NC, six grandchildren, Audrey, Caitlin, Christian, Genevieve, Isabel Grace, and Austin, a step-son, Kevin (Sandy) Wimer, Byesville, two brothers, Jim (Laurie) Edwards, and Ron Edwards, formerly of Byesville, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews from Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia; Brenda was affectionately known as “Ninna” to a special little boy named Chad.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at The Anchor Church, 621 Grant Ave., Cambridge, where services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Josh Chrisman officiating. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
