C. Robert “Bob” Cantor, 88, of Lore City passed away Saturday (September 29, 2018) at the Cardinal Place.

He was born November 1, 1929 in Cambridge and was the son of the late Clarence Cantor and Mabel (Shooter) Cantor Williams.

Bob retired from Rolling Hills, as a custodian, after 10 years of services. He previously worked at Hamilton Beach, Ekco and Westinghouse.  He was a 1948 graduate of Lore City High School, and a member of Lore City United Methodist Church.  He was a former member of Eagles #386.  He was an avid golfer and played in several leagues.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Jack and James Cantor; five sisters, Grace Pearson and Bea Parks, Evyleen Pearson, Pauline Neuville, and Marge Evans.

He is survived by his wife Harriette “Sis” (Chester) Cantor whom he married June 16, 1949; one sister Shirley (Walt) Blattner of Cambridge; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will follow at 3:00 p.m.
