Carol Lee Vanest

Carol Lee Vanest, 71, of Buffalo, passed away Tuesday (September 22, 2020) at her home.

 She was born May 27, 1949 in Summersville, WV and was the daughter of Marjorie M. (Treherne) Cain of Buffalo and the late Elvin Cain.

 Carol retired from Wal-Mart in 2014 and had previously been employed with K-Mart.  She enjoyed gardening, shopping, bowling leagues, golfing with her husband, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.  She was a member of Buffalo VFW #8040 Ladies Aux.

 In addition to her step-father Carol was preceded in death by her husband David L. Vanest whom she married October 8, 1966 and passed away November 8, 2004.

 She is survived by two daughters, Trista (Garey) Eibel of Pleasant City and Tonya (Jim) Conrad of Buffalo; one brother Lester Donelson of Michigan; four grandchildren, Britney (Brandon) Johnston of Pleasant City, Courtney (Mycal) Miller of Sarahsville, Deven Eibel and Kayla Conrad; six great grandchildren, Connor, Darren, Parker, Ryan, Triton and Zaiden; companion Norm Helsel; two cats, Smokey and Joe and Rosie the dog.

 Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday.  Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
