Carole Edna (Turner) Pekari

Carole Edna (Turner) Pekari, 81, of Lore City, passed away Saturday (February 13, 2021) at her home.

She was born February 2, 1940 in Barnesville and was the daughter of the late Floyd and Daisy (Burchfield) Turner.

Carole retired from Reisbeck’s in 2005 as a Customer Service Representative after 23 years of service.  She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and a member of the Catholic Women’s Club.  She was a graduate of Barnesville High School.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Chris Pekari; granddaughter, DeShawna Carol Pekari; siblings, Kitt, Floyd and Anita.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Daniel Edward Pekari whom she married October 17, 1959; two sons, Todd E. (Joletta) Pekari of Cumming, GA and Clint T. (Carrie)Pekari of Lore City; one daughter Julie V. (Jeremy) McElfresh of Senecaville; 8 grandchildren,  Hunter, Ryan, Lauren, Christopher, Isaak, Isabella, Keely and Kasen; daughter-in-law, Emily Pekari of Cambridge.

Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church where Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Paul Hrezo officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Temperanceville.
