Charlotte W. (Rogers) Abels, 87, of Racine, Wisconsin, formerly of Byesville, passed away Thursday (November 11, 2021) at Villa at Lincoln Park, Racine.
She was born December 9, 1933 in Byesville and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Goldia (Bartholow) Rogers.
Mrs. Abels was a homemaker, a 1951 graduate of Community High School, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was also a member of Ladies Missionary Society. Charlotte enjoyed sewing; and gardening in her younger days.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Maurice L. Abels whom she married June 13, 1951 and passed away October 1, 2016; one grandson Keil Lewis; a brother Ernest Rogers.
She is survived by one son Mark (Kathe) Abels of New Port Richey, FL; one daughter Nancy Abels of Kansasville, WI; two grandchildren, Shaun (Sarah) Abels and Kari Fonslet; six great grandchildren, Zoe, Avery, Dane, Linea, Victoria and Elliot; one sister in law, Yvonne Rogers; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with services to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville with Dr. Rex Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Senecaville Cemetery.
