Cody A. Carpenter, 31, of Cambridge, passed away Sunday (September 27, 2020) at SEORMC.
He was born July 28, 1989 in Cambridge and was the son of Lori (Blattner) Felton and step-father Tom Felton of Cambridge and father, Brad Carpenter of Zanesville.
Cody was a contract laborer with Felton Construction, and was a graduate of Cambridge High School. His family was everything to him. He loved football, especially fantasy football, and his dog “Zeke”. He loved rapping and wrote his own music. His heart was the biggest; he had a heart of gold.
Proceeding him in death were his great grandparents, Uriel & Vivian Corwin; grandfathers, Jerry Blattner and William T. Carpenter.
In addition to his parents and step father he is survived by a daughter, Lylah Nicole of Fairview; two brothers, Michael Casey of Cambridge and Chase Carpenter of Byesville; four sisters, Danielle Blattner of Toledo, Katelyn Casey of Cambridge, Jacie Omen of Zanesville and Kenzie Trott of Cambridge; Grandparents, Linda Blattner and Carol (Charles) Doan, both of Zanesville; several aunts, uncles and special friends.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Evangelist Mark Beros officiating. Burial will be in Senecaville Cemetery.
Friends and family who want to come are welcome to attend, but due to Covid-19, we are asking that people be careful to maintain social distancing, wear masks. For anyone who would like to attend, but has underlying conditions that could make them particularly susceptible to Covid-19, the family understands if you choose not to attend for that reason. Please take all precautions to ensure your own safety and everyone else’s should you decide to attend.
