Connie Rose (Johnson) Holdren

May 15, 1944 ~ December 16, 2020 (age 76)

Obituary

Connie Rose Holdren, 76, of Cambridge went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2020.

Connie was born on May 15, 1944 to Bernard and Helen (Weaver) Johnson in Buffalo, Ohio.  After graduation from Buffalo High School, she went on to study Business in Columbus, Ohio.  After graduation, she worked several jobs and retired as a case worker for Guernsey County Department of Jobs and Family Services. Connie, along with her husband Robert, were members of Stop 9 Church of Christ in Byesville.

In 1963 she married Robert Wayne Holdren, going on to have three children, Naomi, Rebecca, and Robert Joseph.  When Connie had Naomi, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother.  Connie excelled at propping up members of her family and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives.  She always did her best to have a smile on her face, and she made it her mission to improve the lives of others.

Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she loved sharing with those who surrounded her.  She loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and many other family members, worshiping God, singing and listening to gospel music.  We will greatly miss her, her enduring smile, and the loving daily Christian example she set.

Connie joins her father Bernard Johnson, who went down on the USS Indianapolis in WWII and her mother Helen (John) Luczak in heaven.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Robert W. Holdren; brothers, Harold (Rose) Johnson, John (Anna) Luczak and Ken Luczak; children, Naomi (Dan) Bankes, Rebecca (John) Mihalik, Robert Joe (Deanna) Holdren; grandchildren,  Andrew Mihalik, Laura (Derek) Reichley, Joshua Mihalik,  Elizabeth Rose Holdren, and great granddaughter Ella Rose Reichley; many other relatives and friends.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, Beckett House, or Shriver’s Hospice.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Buffalo Cemetery with Evangelist Woody Biggs officiating.

A family celebration will be held at a later date to honor the life of Connie Holdren.
