Cory Hursey Obituary

Cory A. Hursey, 26, of Byesville passed away Saturday (February 22, 2020) at SEORMC.

 He was born November 25, 1993 in Cambridge and was the son of Shawn (Amy) Hursey of Roseville and Tracy (Robert) (Hall) Nicholson of Byesville.

 Cory was employed at Dollar General Warehouse in Zanesville. He was a 2012 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, and attended Faith Baptist Church in Belle Valley.  He enjoyed basketball, softball, was an avid Steelers fan, and loved spending time with his daughter and nephews.

 Preceding in death was his paternal grandfather, James Hopkins.

 He is survived by one daughter Sidney Irene Hursey of Bufffalo; two brothers, Logan (Courtney) Fair of San Antonio, TX, and Mason Hursey of Cambridge; two sisters, Ashlie (Michael) Allen of Byesville, and Shelby Hursey of Old Washington; Maternal grandmother Karla Hall of Byesville; Maternal grandfather Marty ((TC) Hall of Marysville; Paternal grandmother Dena Urdak of Pleasant City; three nephews, Kailem, Dawson and Boogie Allen; step-father Ray (Marty) Fair of Coshocton.

 Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville with services to follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Copley officiating.
