Cynthia "Cindy" K. (Johnson) Weekley

Cynthia “Cindy” K. (Johnson) Weekley, 60, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday (January 7, 2023).

Cindy was born September 13, 1962 in Cambridge and was a 1980 graduate of Buckeye Trail High School.  She was married to her husband Tom Weekley for 37+ years, having married her best friend on February 14, 1985.

Cindy worked as a server for more than forty years at various restaurants including the Country Sunset in Winterset and Denny’s in Cambridge.  Cindy served numerous patrons who became lifelong friends.

Cindy was an avid lover of dogs.  She took great pride and enjoyment working in her many flower gardens.  She enjoyed hunting for fresh mushrooms and hanging out with her friends at Marlene’s.  She loved spending time with her family, going all out with her Christmas decorating, and cruises with the Cambridge Cruising Buddies.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother, David Wayne Johnson.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Tom Weekley; her mother, Bonnie (Byron) Ferguson of Cambridge; her father, Wayne “Bud” (Joy) Johnson of Old Washington; her brother, Duane (Diana) Johnson of Cambridge; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday (January 11, 2023) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will be held on Thursday (January 12, 2023) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kirk Gable officiating.

Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Cindy’s name be made to the Guernsey County Cancer Society, 139 N 7th St, Cambridge OH 43725.
