David Allen Ford, 76, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (June 28, 2022) at The Arbors at Streetsboro.
He was born November 1, 1945 in Guernsey County, son of the late John Ford and Carol (Lauer) Ford.
Mr. Ford retired from Southeastern Med after twenty-seven years in the dietary department. He had also worked at Shelly & Sands, Parnell & Associates, Hallbarber, and Sun Stone Pottery for several years.
He was a member of the Cambridge Eagles Aerie 386 for many years and was known as Juke Box. He enjoyed spending time with friends, especially Scrappy, and entering drawings and playing music. He also loved and owned several classic cars over the years and he was especially fond of his Novas.
He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren, and also his puppies – Jax and Dexter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters, Jean, Suzie, Joanne, Randy, Darlene, and Lorena; a brother, Ed; his son, Mike Ford; and his grandson, Jacob Ford.
He is survived by his son, David (Jessica) Ford of Cambridge; his daughter, Lisa Whittle of Cambridge; two brothers, John (Sandy) Ford and Frank (Gwen) Ford both of Cambridge; a sister, Loretta Davis of Kipling; three grandchildren, Kyler, Kelsey, and Logan; a sister-in-law, Doris Ford of Cambridge; his brothers-in-law, Tom Lehotay Sr. of Cambridge, Dave Smith of Old Washington, and George Aber of Zanesville; and several nieces & nephews.
No calling hours will be observed.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Northwood Cemetery.
