Diane L. Potts, 73, of Byesville, passed away Thursday July 1, 2021at the OSU James Cancer Center.
She was born September 4, 1947 in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Paul and Wava Lashley Ansberry.
Diane retired from The Daily Jeffersonian as District Manager after 15 years of service. She also worked at Kennedys Cakes and Doughnuts for several years. She was a 1965 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, and attended the former Buffalo Methodist Church for several years.
Diane loved camping, the beach, especially Ocean City, Virginia, and the Carolina beaches. She loved her family, and time spent with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Neal Ansberry.
Diane is survived by her companion and soul mate of 34 years, George C. Sprague; her son, Shane (Tasha) Potts of Canfield; her daughter, Shannon Potts of Alliance; a brother, Greg (Teresa) Ansberry of Cambridge; a sister, Beverly (Gary) Courtwright of Dove;, 6 grandchildren, David (Victoria) Banis, Brooke (Michael) Snow, Alexia Potts, Dillon (Lara) Banis, Caidey Saylor, and Shane Potts Jr.; 9 great-grandchildren, Adonis, Amen-Rah, Apollo, Avery, Jaxon, Lincoln, Lucas, Aspen, and Wesley.
Calling hours will be held Friday July 9th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Black-Epperson Funeral Home in Byesville, where services will be Saturday at 11:00 am, with Evangelist Mark Beros officiating.
