Donna McJessy Obituary
Donna Marie (Lautenschlager) Shira McJessy, 70, of Buffalo, passed away unexpectedly Saturday (August 14, 2021) at her home.
She was born December 2, 1950 in Newark, daughter of the late Harold and Cora (Euman) Lautenschlager.
Donna was a former office administrator, Catholic by faith and a 1969 graduate of Newark High School. She was a friend to all, always ready to help in any way, and loved all animals.
She is survived by her husband Paul McJessy, Donna and Paul recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on August 3rd; three sons, Doug Shira of Gahanna, Nick and Brian Shira, both of Orlando, FL; three step children, Joel and Frank McJessy and Paula Russ; three sisters, Barbara Scott of Pataskala, Peggy Lautenschlager of Newark and Phyllis Jewell of Fallsburg, Ohio; five grandchildren, Bradley, Brandon, Brittany, Logan and Madison Shira; eight step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will follow at 3:30.
Burial will take place at a later date in Newark Memorial Gardens.
