Dorothy L. (Isom) Larson, 78, passed away Thursday (March 16, 2023) at Southeastern Med, Cambridge.
She was born September 4, 1944 in Phil Campbell AL, daughter of the late John Isom and Ruzell (Cox) Isom.
Dorothy was a loving wife who married the love of her life, David L. Larson, on January 16, 1965. Together they had five children, seventeen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and was Baptist by faith. She loved playing Yahtzee.
Dorothy loved her grandchildren dearly. She loved hugs and was well-known for her smile. Family was everything to Dorothy – she lovingly called everyone in her family “Dollface”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Larson, who passed away January 22, 2023; a sister, Shirley; and three brothers, Jerold, infant brother Curtis Roy, and infant brother, Jay Foy.
Dorothy is survived by her five children, Denice (Jim) Smith of Pleasant City, David (Bridget) Larson Jr. of North Carolina, Daniel (Jamie) Larson of Cambridge, Dwayne (Christine Kinney) Larson of Powhatan Point, and Dustin (Roberta Krise) Larson of Byesville; a brother, Charles (Marlene) Isom of Akron; a sister-in-law, Donna Isom; seventeen grandchildren, Kaci, Paige, Zachary, Hunter, Kenzie, Tanner, Taylor, Gabby, Ashlee, Kolton, Hannah, David, Richard, Seth, Bobby, Lindsay, and Jacob; nine great-grandchildren, October, Addy, Madison, Ryleigh, Greyson, Richard, Ryan, Jaxton, and Arizona; and several nieces & nephews, including a special nephew, Rick (Dena) Isom.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Cambridge Place for being so good to Dorothy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday (March 19, 2023) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will be held Monday (March 20, 2023) at 12 p.m. with Pastor Brian Hollis officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
