Dorothy Elizabeth Masters, 75, of Byesville, passed away Tuesday (January 24, 2023) at her home.
She was born June 27, 1947 in Painesville, daughter of the late Clarence Frederick Grubbs and Dorothy (Bates) Proctor.
Dorothy retired from the Rolling Hills Local School District, where she had been a cook for many years. She loved working on jigsaw puzzles and collecting glassware & stuffed bears.
She attended the Stop 9 Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Fred Masters; and an uncle and aunt, Dean & Nina Perkins.
Dorothy is survived by four sons, Rick Masters of Byesville, Rusty Masters of Cambridge, Robin (Misty) Masters of Byesville, and Reggie Masters of Texas; two daughters, Rochelle Masters of Byesville and Sheila Herndon of Texas; her grandchildren, Clint Masters of Canton, Alex (Natalie) Masters of Cleveland, Taryn Masters of Buckeye Lake, Courtney Masters of Zanesville, Austin (Stephanie) Masters of Cincinnati, Nick Masters of Texas, Tyler Herndon of Texas, Angela Wild of Texas, Tabitha (James) Keller of Texas, a sister, Pam Aleshire of Byesville; a niece, Denise Aleshire McCraken of Byesville; two nephews, Troy (Lisa) Aleshire of Wyoming and Jimmy Aleshire of Byesville; and several great-grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday (January 28, 2023) from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with Evan. Woody Biggs officiating.
