Dwain Hall Obituary

Dwain Charles Hall age 72 of Senecaville, passed away on Saturday Sept. 14, 2019 @ Specialty Select hospital in Newark.

 He was born August 11, 1947 in Zanesville and was the son of the late Charles Brown and Rito Gale (Elliott) Hall.

 Mr. Hall retired in August 2006 from Centria after 39 years of service.  He was also co-owner of Hall’s Leather Shop.  He was a member of Stop Nine Church of Christ, American Quarter Horse Assoc., and a 1965 graduate of Shenandoah High School.  He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and received ROTC training,  member of Local U.A.W. #1825 where he was Past President, he served on the  Guernsey Industries Board and booster club, and was a past Sunday school teacher, RA leader, and a leader of Trucker’s Christian Chapel. Dwain enjoyed going to flea markets and setting up displays for leather sales, he loved sports and always tried to attend Meadowbrook football and basketball games with his family by his side, his greatest joy was watching his boys play for the Guernsey Eagles in a variety of sports. Dwain and his family traveled throughout much of the United States, Canada and Mexico.

 In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Marjorie Hall, and a brother Fred Hall.

 He is survived by his wife of fifty four years Nancy C. (Bates) Hall whom he married August 28, 1965; two sons, Dwain C. Hall of Florida, and Jason C. Hall of the home; two grandsons which they raised, Dwain J. “DJ” Hall, and M. “Charlie” Hall both of the home.

 Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Black-Epperson funeral home in Byesville, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Evangelist Woody Biggs officiating.  Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
