Garnet Lucille (Duff) Horton, 81, of Cambridge, passed away Wednesday (February 26, 2020) at the OSU Wexner Medical Center.
She was born December 13, 1938 in Corning and was the daughter of the late James and Rosa (Cairo) Duff.
Garnet worked in several local factories, and most recently at K-Mart. She attended Church of God in Zanesville in her younger years, and later attended Old Cambridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed Golden 60’s, yard sales, her dogs, spending time with her family, bingo, crossword puzzles, and loved wearing hats.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Richard Horton whom she married August 1, 1959 and passed away April 1, 2001; siblings, Clarice Ann, Frank, Joan and Rosa; her dogs Zeus and Snoopy.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen (David) Clipner of Cambridge and Judy (Walberto) Diaz of Byesville; one brother Bill (Joyce) Duff of South Zanesville; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where private family services will be held Monday with Evangelist Woody Biggs officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
