Gary Lee Clipner, 78, of New Concord, passed away Saturday (February 15, 2020) at the Morrison House in Zanesville.
He was born October 26, 1941 in Canton and was the son of the late Clark J. and Ruth (Stevenson) Clipner.
Gary was a Tool and Die maker and worked for March Electric for 30 years, he also worked at Superior Model and later retired from Edgetec in 2009. He was a graduate of Community High School, he enjoyed genealogy, old tractors, car trips his cats, and smoking vintage pipes.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Mikey.
He is survived by his wife of thirty three years, Betty (Dickson) Clipner whom he married May 23, 1986; five sons, Gary of New Concord, Chris (Michelle) Clipner of Old Washington, David (Karen) Clipner of Cambridge, Mark (Shelly) Clipner of Pleasant City, and Joe Clipner of Byesville; one daughter, Susan (Brad) Cunningham of Byesville; one step-son Gary (Jennifer) Mitchell of Cambridge; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville. Private family services will be on Thursday with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
