Gary Edward Hewison

Gary Edward Hewison Sr., 77, of Byesville, passed away Wednesday (May 13, 2020) at his home.

 He was born October 4, 1942 in Coshocton and was the son of the late Dwayne “Red” Hewison and Dorcella (Weekley) Gibson.

 Gary was a graduate of Byesville High School, and retired from Champion Spark Plug.  He formerly served on the Byesville Police Dept. and was a custodian for Rolling Hills Local School District.  He was an Army veteran.  Gary was a hard worker and loved his family, and he is home again with his loving wife Judy Kay and son-in-law Jeff.

 In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Judy Kay (Sapp) Hewison whom he married February 11, 1963 and passed away August 11, 2015; a son-in-law Jeff Jerles, and step-father William E. Bean.

 He is survived by two sons, Gary E. (Teresa) Hewison Jr. of Burlington, Iowa and Mike (Nikki) Hewison of Senecaville; one daughter Dee Jerles of Lawton, OK; three brothers, Kenny (Sandy) Hewison of Buffalo, Randy (Barb) Bean of Byesville and Roger “Skip” (Patricia) Bean of Cambridge; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

 No calling hours or services will be observed. Private family services will be held at a later date.
