Gregory Scott Gibson, 58, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully September 16, 2022 at Embassy Health Care Center, Cambridge.
He was born July 3, 1964, the son of the late Glenn M. and Margaret (Basalla) Gibson. Greg graduated Cambridge High School in 1983, where he played high school baseball. He loved all sports and enjoyed watching and discussing sporting stats with his brothers and teasing his sister about her sport knowledge. He was a talking TV guide for his family on sporting events. He was a Minnesota Vikings and OSU football fan and knew every episode of Law and Order.
He worked for Kroger Co, Raptis Bros, and Ohio Bridge Co.
He is survived by three sisters, Deborah and Joe Gognat, Beth (late Larry) Trussa, and Lora (late Herb) Kenworthy; two brothers, Mark and Brad Gibson; five nephews, Joe, Jason, Tim, Brian, and Steve; one niece, Karlee; one great-niece and four great-nephews, all of whom he cherished; two aunts; a very large family of cousins; plus his two favorite dogs, Pebbles and Kenzie.
Services will be Wednesday (September 21, 2022) at Christ Our Light Parish – the family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., with a Mass of Christian burial beginning at 12 p.m. with Father Paul Hrezo officiating.
Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Pleasant City, at a later date.
