Harriett “Sis” (Chester) Cantor, 88, of Lore City passed away Thursday (February 28, 2019) at the Cardinal Place.

She was born October 1, 1930 in Senecaville and was the daughter of the late Roger and (Yula Shaffer) Chester.

Sis retired from SEORMC after 13 years. She previously was employed with Cambridge Glass, Universal Pottery and Phillips Products. She was a 1948 graduate of Senecaville High School and a member of Lore City United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Cantor whom she married June 16, 1949 and passed away September 29, 2018; two brothers, Roger Chester Jr., and Norman Chester.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Carol Touville officiating. Burial will be in Senecaville Cemetery.
