Irene (Eason) Addis

(Florence) Irene Addis, 84, died Thursday (September 22, 2022) at her home.

She was born April 9, 1938 in Rensselaer IN, daughter of the late William E. Eason and Bethel M. (Norton) Eason.

Irene was a graduate of Goodland High School.  She retired in 2002 from the Senior Center, after eighteen years as a cook and home health care aide.

She was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church of Cambridge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Addis, whom she married May 5, 1978; three daughters, Cindy Stombaugh of Senecaville, Carol Stombaugh of Byesville, and Cherie (Charles) Cain of Senecaville; two granddaughters, Amanda (Josh) Blackledge of Cambridge and Kristy (Tim) Harding of Senecaville; a grandson, Ben (Amanda) Cain of New Concord; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday (September 25, 2022) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will be held Monday (September 26, 2022) at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Bergeson officiating.

Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
